San Nicolo dei Galigeri (of the Shoemakers)

The church was double-aisled and belonged to the guild of shoemakers. Known from the census of 1335, it underwent repairs and additions in the early 16th century. Its remains were discovered at a depth of 4.50 metres at the junction of Mitsotaki and Monis Agarathou Streets and have been preserved, visible in the basement of a modern building.
