Saint Onouphrios

The domed church of Saint Onouphrios survives almost intact, enclosed between modern buildings at the southern end of the traditional food market, on 1866 Street. It served as the seat of the homonymous confraternity, whose members were nobles of Candia. During the Ottoman period, it was converted into a hammam.
